Pea Gravel

Pea gravel is a type of gravel composed of small, rounded stones, typically around 3/8 inches in diameter, and often referred to as pea pebbles. These stones are named for their size, which is comparable to that of a pea. Pea gravel is commonly used in landscaping for its natural, soft appearance and excellent drainage properties.

Key Features:
  • Size and Shape: Pea gravel is characterized by its small, rounded stones, making it smooth to the touch.

  • Color: While commonly available in neutral colors like tan and gray, pea gravel can also come in various other colors, including white, brown, and even occasional reds and blacks.

Drainage: The small, rounded stones of pea gravel allow for excellent drainage, making it suitable for areas where water can collect, such as pathways and low-lying areas.

Versatility: Pea gravel can be used in a variety of landscaping applications, including walkways, patios, dry riverbeds, and as a decorative ground cover.
